Default Design layout

Hi guys,
im pulling my hair out now trying to work out where the fonts go on relation to my design. Its the first one Im stuck on.
I just want to know of any links you may know of so I can follow some design guidelines. I dont have any higher education in regards to design!
I saw a good one at gomediazine , so anything like that
thanks

Here's a link to a book you can get on amazon or your local, major-chain bookstore:
Amazon.com: Design Basics Index (Index Series) (0035313328459): Jim Krause: Books
It's called Design Basics Index. And in fact, all the books by this company/Jim Krause are superb and helpful. The other one I especially like is Idea Index. (any of the "Index" ones are great). Hope this helps. Also, feel free to email me your design and I would be glad to help you with it. I know you are probably trying to get the job done in a timely fashion and sometimes designing can get frustrating. It can hep to get a second set of eyes to look at it.
(PM me for my email or you can email me through my website)

Hey Paul,

I know exactly what you mean in terms of fonts. I wanted to start using some different styles, etc. Welcome to the forum & good luck to you!
