Default illustrator help needed for mac

Hi Everyone,
I use illustrator CS3 for Mac. It's how I communicate with my roland gx24. Until yesterday my OS was 10.4.11. I now have the newest 10.6.1

I also use a program Print Shop for Mac vol 2. to do some layouts and then copy and paste to illustrator. Today the copy and paste is not working?? I'm getting message: Quick Time & decompressor needed to see this picture. I'm assuming it has something to do with new OS.
Any suggestions?
As always thank you in advance,
Macman

I've seen this happen before and I believe the programs need updates to get them to work right. The only way I've been able to get around it in the past is to copy and paste into Photoshop, then copy again out of Photoshop and paste into whatever program is giving you the issue. This is an extra step and a pain, but I think this is the only solution for now. This issue was in Leopard as well. It happens to me in FreeHand, but since Adobe doesn't care about fixing FreeHand, I'll live with it. Print Shop is a very simple program and may not even have a solution, but I'd check with them first.

In print shop words I type and the frame I put around a picture would transfer to illustrator as graphics. I tried going through photoshop but it makes everything a photo and then I loose a lot of detail when traced and expanded in illustrator.

Well if you are trying to get vector, the only other way I was successful was to paste it into a sign program. In Print Shop is there any way to convert the text to curves, artwork or points, etc?

Print Shop has shapes and curves. Whatever is typed when pasted to illustrator is ready to cut.

Yes, I understand that, what I meant by my comment was if you have a sign cut program, you could probably paste it into there and then copy and paste into Illustrator. Other than that, I don't have any other solution. I did notice that Print Shop is up to 23 now? Is that PC or is the Mac Version 2.0 the latest?

I appreciate your help. 2.0 is latest version for Mac. I don't have sign program.
