[CorelDraw] - Trying to contour all of H but won't, why?
Hi everyone,
I am trying to get use to redrawing. I have made a copy of it, and will try to add it.
The top one is the redrawn one and the bottom, the original one. (I'm sure you guys all recognize the difference????)
I am having trouble getting the H and angel wing part to take the contour on all of it. It only does certain parts of it.
I'm sure it is the way I put things together and grouped them.
What is the secret to combining areas together, do you weld each time, instead of grouping them. I have tried welding and usually end up loosing part of it, it dissappears.
I may try different fonts when I get this part figured out.
This one was pretty close to it.
Appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks, lindaschallenge
You will have better success vectorising if you have a high resolution file to start with. 170kB is small, I presume that this has been lowered for the web?
break it all apart
select the H and the wing only and weld together, then edit the nodes to smooth it our to your liking
working in wireframe view will make this much easier to see whats happening
Thanks, I am trying to redo it with your suggestions, and the others, trying to weld as I go, and smoothing it out first.
So far, I have been able to use the contour on it.
If I get stumped again, watch for lindaschallenge's help questions again (warning, my name really fits me!!)
Big Thanks!
