Default Photo Help - turning into a graphic

I know there is a live trace tool in illustrator, but when I use that on the photo I am trying to use on a shirt, it takes away most of the picture and you really don't know what it is. Any other option? I have a charity who wants this certain photo on all of their shirts, but it being a photo makes it more expensive unless I was to do it myself on my inkjet printer. but that is an awful lot of cutting when she wants something.

Thanks.

How many colors is the design? Also, there are ways to change the settings in LiveTrace as to how it affects it's tracing.

I can't figure out how to attach it. It says it is too big. If you e-mail me at [email address], I can e-mail it to you.

Thanks!
