Alstyle shirts range from Gildan style shirts, to urban cuts (generally more expensive whereever you go), to AA style contemporary cuts. So it would depend on which alstyle shirt was being used.
So many variables are playing into calculating the cost of a single shirt. We have some people who just want to buy shirts and are surprised how many things matter for the price calculation.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm sure that after a few jobs are done I will know what shirts bar owners prefer, or restaurants and so on. Keep a few samples of Good, better and best, and let the customer decide. That might be helpful if the customer can see and feel the difference. I liken it to me buying my Monster cables for my surround sound and Xbox. The different cables from Component to "S", to fiber optic are labeled as good, better, and best as far as connection and quality.
alstyle shirt like in black w/no pockets. I don't have the item#. But would u guys think $5.50 or anything below $6 is a reasonable cost per shirt? Design would be 1 color

~$5.50 or so for 1 color sounds about right. I could do it myself, with all of the equipment, for about $3.50 to 4.00 (FOTL or Hanes Beefy Tee). So $5.50 doesn't seem all that bad.
