After selling tye dye clothing,(purchased wholesale), I would like to go with a private label option, puirchasing wholesale, but re-label with my store name. Problem, many tye dyers will not allow.
My question: Does any one know a tye-dye artist who will sell without labels?
I do not know if my supplier would allow me to remove their label and replace with mine. Did not want to ask for fear of him cutting me out completely if he is against this..
Is it illegal to remove tags and replace with your own? I would have to assume if the shirts are generic, that is, Hanes etc., and not the tye dyer,s label what recourse could they have?

Relabeling blank t-shirts is a pretty common practice. We actually have a whole section of the forum that talks about relabeling:

In addition to what Rodney said, the First Sale Doctrine of the Copyright Act eliminates any control the supplier has over their garments once you purchase them. So they have no say whatsoever on what you can do with them.
