So being a high school student, what would be the best way to find a way to finance my business? Are there grants, or special loans for teens trying to start their own business? Thanks for the help!
There may be. Anyone offhand remember the name of the gent in the goofy suit jackets that does the ad for grants and govt. loans? You may also look into a CafePress or that type store to help raise funds to do your own. Looking for a job at a local screen printer aint a bad way of earn while you learn. And with the last option, you may even find some reat deals on materials, sullies and equipment.
Make some shirts with what you have or get someone to print your design and sell them to your high school friends. It isn't always about you doing the actual job. It is about you running the business and getting the job done. Everything I am doing now, my printers, my press and my stock and software came from me starting out selling tote bags on ebay. 1 went to 2 and 2 went to 50 in 2 months. Then an order for tees which paid for press .. then more jobs..which paid for more things. I am rich, rich rich.. OK I am not but I am happy to be where I am. Nothing I use in the business came from our personal money. Which makes my wife happy. I just kept reinvesting in the business.

Family loan is one easy way to start. If you can't find external funding you can always start at the bottom: turn $20 into $40, turn that into $80, etc.

There might be, but I wouldn't bet on it. There are many loan schemes, grants, etc. for under 25s (here anyway, I don't know about elsewhere), but I think you'd generally have to be over 18 to apply. There might be some for teens though, and even if there's not I'd look into them and keep at it: if you can start something and grow it on your own now, you'll have a track record when you apply at 18.
You might try joining a youth entrepreneur program, or find a mentor. It might help you get the right connections to get a loan or grant in the future.
