Licensed T Shirts Question, Possible to Create Own Designs?
Hello,
I have a quick question regarding licensed t shirts.
For example let's say I like AirWolf t shirts but the pre-existing licensed ones are all not to my taste. If I find the people that have a license to produce AirWolf t shirts can they create any AirWolf based t shirt or are they limited to designs given to them by the licensor?
What I'm thinking is could I design an AirWolf t shirt and then get the company with the license to print it for me (under their license) or I print it myself and pay them a fee for each t shirt?
Finally is it possible for more than one company to have a licence to produce the same t shirts, for example could there be more than one company authorised to produce AirWolf t shirts in the US/UK etc?

It depends on the licensing agreement. Some can design whatever they want, some can't.

This is called sub-licensing. Again, depending upon the agreement, they may be allowed to do this or they may not. If they are, then it's up to the licensee. I would think they would base their decision on how profitable it is for them.

Definitely. The licensor, in this case AirWolf, can sign as many licensing agreements as they wish. But the more exclusive it is, the more they can probably charge per licensee.
