Default Legal question

I was asked to make a banner for a Methodist boy's sports team. The customer wanted the Methodist logo on the banner and something like
"Go Team". Since it was for the Methodist church was it legal to do that? I just recently bought some clipart books and that logo was in there. What are your thoughts?

The Methodist church owns the logo. So if they want you to print it on a sign, it would be fine.

Agree with Joe. I think it is legal if Methodist church owns the logo, you can
put that logo on the banner!

Are you sure its legal. ? Just cuz its a Methodist church does that mean they automatically have the authority to grant anyone the permission to use the logo ? Wouldn't that come from the main office ?

One reason I ask is a local major chain restraunant sponsored a team. When they went to get the shirts done they told them they could not use the logo and they didn't have permission to give it out. So all that is on their shirts is the name and not even in the same font.

I know two different types of establishments but...
C-Y-A.

Good Luck
Mark

It would be a good idea to just find out who in the church is responsible for those things and get signed permission to use the logo for this event. This is better than nothing.
