Apart from getting sales I actually really love weeding!
I hate trying to get the print straight on the tshirt. I've had a few that I've had to just bin cos it was slightly off centre or crooked. I'm not a massive fan of printing invoices etc either. But for some reason the whole process is still fun.
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
Hand painting film: it's something I mostly hate doing with a fiery passion, but occasionally everything comes together in a way that I'm proud of and I love every minute of this insanely tedious task.
Love: putting together a finished product range. Love love love doing all the little finishing touches.
Hate: conflict. Hate hate hate disappointment. Sometimes it's not your fault (or it is), but it's a kick in the guts either way.
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
Seeing my work around town on someone's back makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Receiving a customer's "art" in a Word document, however, does not make me feel warm and cozy.
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
Yep, plus one on Bob's! I hate it when I or my people makes mistakes. Like yesterday, we have to replace 100 polo shirts because of wrong embroidery placement, .
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
I love the opportunity to be in charge of my creativity. I love wearing something that I designed myself, to my own liking But I hate centering the design on the shirt although I am getting a lot better.
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
There will always be crooked prints...just pitch it and forget it. I had a customer who designed a one color logo for their garage band...he actually jumped up and down when he saw it printed on the tees...cool.
I hate ordering apparel...starting to do it more online now though.
Re: What do you love and hate about tshirt selling?
I love being in my work room with the music blaring just mindlessly printing...then about 75 shirts into and order panic because I think I misspelled something.
I hate huge orders because i eventually hate looking at the same design.
Love delivering shirts and seeing the happy faces.

Ahhhh, the Loves of garment decorating!
I love walking around town and seeing the all the stuff I made on people. I love the smell of a heat press in the morning, the hmmm of good old Bertha sewing away (that's my Barudan embroidery machine). Of course making a quality product that makes my customers happy as can be is the lasting love...
The hates... well it would have to be 18 to 45 seconds between prints or transfer etc... longest seconds in life ever...Geez just enough time to get bored and not quite enough time to get anything really done, depending on press times etc. Another hate is damn telemarketers that call and slow production, hate that for sure.
Last and not least is my love and hate relationship with BEEPING. Man does everything have to beep? I love the fact it means another item is made and ready to sell, that means money but how many beeps can one hear a day? I suppose I hope alot of them.
Overall I do love my job, it fits me to a Tee....!
