which printing method should I choose for one offs and felt type feel?

Default which printing method should I choose for one offs and felt type feel?

I'm looking for something that I can use to not only print one off t-shirts (or more) as well as on a felt like material (trying to find out what it is from the potential client). I've been doing t-shirts and stuff using cafepress, but their recent marketplace changes are leaving me questioning their viability if they are making such a huge money grab so I want to be in line to do my own if needed. Their base prices are really high, so some customers have passed on larger orders that I could have gotten if I could do my own.

I know everyone has their own opinions, but I'm totally lost as to which way to go and what materials I'd need for them. I've been thinking possibly screen printing or vinyl, but it sounds like screen printing might not be good for one offs. Any help or directions would be appreciated....

For one offs, you may want to look into heat transfers.

There are many different types. Ones that feel like felt are called flock, and they are solid colored pieces of material that is cut into the shape of your design with a vinyl cutter.
