Default Contracted to print apparel for an event for 20,000 People...need advice

All,

I have been awarded a contract to be the apparel vendor for an event that will draw in roughly 20,000 people.

The catch is, I own ALL of the inventory, so whatever doesn't sell, I take home.

I have overall numbers from previous year events as to how many of each type of garment was sold, however, they sizing is a little fuzzy.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to break up what sizes of each garment I end up bringing with me to the event? For example, 10% small, 30% medium, 30% large, 20% XL and 10% XXL.

Thanks!

Josh

I'm not even going to attempt to answer that question without any more information. Heres an example
Truck Pulls
you'll sell more 2x & xl than small.

Swimming Meet
More youth sizes than adult

Marathon
More med and large t-s than xl and 2x

The event is a one week long conference for a church denomination. This even happens once every four years. Demographics will range from youth (20%), 20-40 year olds (35%), 40+ (45%).

Aim for the sky and then contract for me to pick up all your leftovers after the event ;-)

Mixed church event I would run 20/20/20 on adult L/XL/XXL and 10/10/10/10 on S/YL/YM/XXXL.

Is there anyway you can print X number of shirts, see the response and call back to your shop for reorders on the fly?

Since this is a week long event He can print for the day & then contact his shirt supplier to schedule delivery the next day.

Thanks for the responses. I am located in Washington State, the event is in Orlando Florida. I have a Brother 541, so the possibility exists to have them printed at my shop in WA and then send them overnight to FL, or I could also see about finding a contract printer in FL. I originally wanted to bring the DTG with me, but it was going to be very expensive to ship it both ways, and plus the wear/tear on the machine with 6000 miles of transit.

does the possibility of shipping overnight 100-200 pounds of shirts, each day, out weigh the amount it will cost to ship your own machines,
or plastisol transfers,, with a press with you,, so you could go back work all night, or better yet,, for money like that, you could buy a press, use the heck out of it, and sell it to a t-shirt shop in the area before you leave or give it to them,, lol
Be prepared, adults sizes most likely to sell at your event,, L-XL.
childs size best seller m-L
womens best sellers M-L
just a rough breakdown, for church events. of best sellers.
congrats,
MMM

Don't know how it is in the US. But, from my part of the world, what I know about religious functions is, that women always outnumber men.
