I have read many many times as many people is worried about their original work being stolen.
I have found this site, where you register your artwork,
a digital fingerprint, mixes and chops the data of a file to create a unique string of numbers and letters
based on the files makeup.
I think it's worth to give it a try, if you think the site may not steal you work

So an email is all it takes for someone to stop stealing your designs?

nothing can *stop* someone taking your designs. There's no barrier or block or lock you can put on it. Just like a bank can't *stop* someone from robbing it. Crooks are crooks.

But because robbing a bank is against the law, the bank has the law on its side to prosecute the crooks once they are caught and the police have the law on their side to stop the crooks if the robbery is in progress.

Copyright can deter those people that care, and can give you legal standing after the fact to go after people who take your intellectual property.

I'm not a lawyer, so if you need legal help or have legal questions, you should contact one
