Hi, I want to order my blank t-shirts from tscapparel.com and they need a seller's permit to set me up an account. I am confused though, I live in Florida, I was going to get it through Incorporate, Form LLC, Fictitious Business Name, DBA, Seller's Permit but then I hear from people that it is free. THen some people are saying I need a Bussiness lic to get this and so on. Can anyone tell me what a floridian needs to do round here to get some cheap shirts?
First of all, have you registered your business with the state of FL? If not, you would need to do this first. Then you can get a resale certificate from the state, and fax that to TSC Apparel.
Hey. I tried registering but like you said I do need a seller's permit. Would trendyblanks.com be cheaper if I ordered from them, rather than getting all that stuff (which is around $170).
thanks for you help.

Reason: removed wholesale pricing info
No, I have not registered my business here yet. How much would that and a resale certificate from the state cost me? This all very confusing to me so sorry about all the questions. Thank you very much for your help.

No, problem.
First, what county do you live in?
You need to find out how much a business license is in your county. You can start a business by paying the county clerk for a business license. It should not cost very much.
If you let me know what county it is, I can help you find out the fee.
From there, you just take your business license to the state department of revenue, and get a resale certificate. I think it's free in FL.
Once you have that, just fax it to TSC, and they'll get you set up.

Just glancing at the county's site, it looks like you'd be paying $45.
I'll attach some links for you to check out. The first one is the application for business tax, which you have to file in person along with the fee.
You should call the number at the top of the application before you go, to make sure that the fee is correct for your business type, and ask any other questions that you may have.
