hi guys, firstly i would like everyone to check my website to understand my question
as you can see i have about 35 designs, with all different colour shirts, i'm adding 5 new ones to get me a total of 40, i offer all these designs in mens, womens, kids and hoodies, what i wanted to ask was that i am just starting out and am not sure how many blanks to buy, i will be receiving the shirts by mail and will probably take a week or so to come (my supplier is an online company and i get the feeling that they don't have it in stock before they send it to me) so buying as i go along isn't really an option, and even if i buy 1 of each size of each type (4 sizes of mens, 4 of womens, 4 kids and 4 hoodies), i end up with 640 blanks, which is far far too much for a start up, how do you think i should do it?
Look for a different supplier. At least here in the states, no one is more than a day or 2 away mailing wise from a wholesaler. I would hope the UK is similiar. What city are you in?
hi i'm based in Nottingham, i only really know one supplier here and he doesnt stock the brands im interested in, only FOTL really and the prices for low quantity are ridiculously high, we're talking at about USD $3.50-$4 per shirt
Most (sensible) UK wholesalers will usually have the goods with you next morning, if you order before noon. If they offer a premium delivery service, it may possibly arrive the day after.
Ideally you only want to carry minimal stock, just enough to let you fulfil orders. If you end up with dead stock sitting around for a few months, it can inevitably get a musty smell to it and no buyer wants that.
If you specify shipment within five working days, that will usually keep customers happy and allow you to quickly get stock in if you happen to run out of a particular size/colour.
most wholesalers i've looked at offer next day delivery. i just ordered some from mdpsupplies - they don't have as big a range as some others but their prices are good.
