Default How much would you charge if you want to have a flat shipping fee

Paypal doesn't aloud me to have multiple shipping fees (at least I can't figure out how to do this) so I've consider just adding a flat shipping to for all my customers. How much do you think it would be OK to charge if you want to have a flat shipping fee?

Paypal allows you to alter your shipping charge based on total order.

Really? That I didn't know. I was thinking of just charging a flat shipping fee for everybody, if I can do that I might just have a flat shipping fee up to 4 T-shirts , and after that i can set a different price, but I'm not sure what would be fair to charge.. Or how much would be fair to charge for just one flat shipping fee.
Any thoughts

We're actually able to get away with a $3 flat shipping fee per shirt - USPS first-class mail for one shirt is pretty low.

Shipping a shirt through the post office averages $2. You could increase your retail price by $2 and offer free shipping. This is fairest way to do it. Otherwise you have the situation of a single shirt buyer subsidizing the shipping cost of a multiple shirt buyer.

That's a very good idea, I might just say "free shipping" and just increase my prices a little bit. That way I might attract more customers by offering this deal
Thanks!

That's a good way to go. If you're shipping via USPS First Class mail, it doesn't add too much to the cost of the t-shirt.

I used to do $4.95 flat rate shipping in the US and had no problems with it. I shipped via USPS Priority Mail. As the US Post office continually increased their rates, I never had to change my flat rate. Then I switched to free shipping.

Remember to include everything into your prices for shipping. If you charge $3 for shipping and it cost $2.85 to ship it you could be losing money. Think about the cost of buying the supplies for shipping like; tape, paper, labels, shipping mailers, etc.
Also include getting paid for your time to actually ship the product! If you have to drive 2 miles to the post office then include that into your shipping cost. To me as a business owner and a customer who purchases a lot of stuff online i think about $4 range is reasonable and anything over $4.99, I know I am being ripped off for a shirt.
