Default Branding concern

Hi everyone

Here is my question/concern... We use American apparel for our tshirts and that's great BUT we would like to use other brands as we look to expand our offerings. We relabel all of our shirt.

Is this a common thing? To use different brands within your own label?

Thanks for all responces

Mikey

It is not advisable, U will end out with different T-shirt materials which may create problems for yourself due to quality matters.

Why not get a manufacturer to produce your own brand according to you desire quality, design and cutting. Don't U think they will solve all the hustle?

Do u have garments made just for u?

I understand it that we would be on the hook for X amount of inventory. At the moment I keep a minimum amount or stock on hand, have my heat press and my plastisol transfers. I reorder as I need.

To have someone create our own stuff seems rather risky....

Thanks for the reply

While it's not common it is done. I'd recommend sticking to brands where the sizing is consistent with each other, but beyond that personally I think it's okay to mix to suit the needs of the brand.

My thoughts are to use hoodies from another company cause the american apparel ones are too fitted and rather pricey...

All of our t's would stay with American apparel

Well it's just one opinion, but if the quality is there I don't see a problem with that.

That's not to say you can't have problems: for example customers who know you use AA shirts expecting the hoodies to also be AA. But I think they're going to be infrequent and outweighable
