Hey everyone, it's Cham, hope all is well. Anywho, I am temporarily closing the doors and taking a step back due to personal reasons. I have several sayings, without graphics, for shirts. I do not want them to just go to waist, many of them are too hilarious to let that happen.
I am looking to sale the rights to my sayings but being all I have ever done is sold shirts, I have no clue how to sale only the sayings. What would I sale an individual saying for or even ten as a group? What legalities would I need to protect myself and the company purchasing my sayings?
Is leasing my sayings to a company an option? I take a percentage for each shirt sold. If this is possible, what would I need to do to set this up? What would be a reasonable profit margin for me?

I do not mind admitting that I have no clue what I am talking about; I sell shirts, not sayings. Any advice would be great.

Realistically, it's not going to happen.

If you have an actual trademark to sell that would be one thing, but Random Funny Line isn't a saleable commodity.

agreed. if people could sell quotes I doubt there would be as many t-shirt companies in existence
