Default Just starting out, looking for great reliable outsource t-shirt supplier

Hello:

I'm new to the t-shirt business. I'm not even 100% up and running just yet either.

I'm currently in the midst of finding an outsourced company to supply me with my custom designed shirts. I'm looking for a really good soft (thin/comfortable) cotton. I was wondering if anyone could possible help me out and/or share ideas on whom I can use or where I can find someone.

I'm located in Toronto, finding/buying locally wouldn't be that bad of an idea either to start off with, considering a budget is definitly smaller then I'd like it to be.

Anyone have any thoughts on how I should go about this whole process?

I have my own designs that myself and some co-workers/friends are coming up with and preparing to have printed. I don't know if we're in the market yet for 1000pc minimum.

Anything such as thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Also, please feel free to Private Message me.

Cheers

I think spending a lot of money up front on unproven (no sales or demand) designs is crazy not matter yoru budget. I would suggest you look at to options:

1) Find a Direct to garment (DTG) printer in your area that can do a few shirts for you to show around. A DTG printer can print only one shirt of each design if you wish. Go with the designs you think are most promising.

2) Purchase a heat press and have the designs done with plastisol transfers. You can buy the transfers in volume which would reduce your costs for that part of the process and then print/press your own shirts as you need to.

After 3 posts you can post a Service needed in the forum classifieds and perhaps somebody can help you with the DTG shirts.

Good luck with your shirts
