Default where to buy Mannequins??

I have seen in retail catalogs that sell showcases, store fixtures etc, Mannequins, or "Torsos" that you could display a t shirt on, also heads out of styrofoam that you could display a hat on. They seem expensive. Are there any sources of anything more reasonable? Or what type of innovative ideas has others come up with?
Thanks, Kevin

I got mine off of Ebay. Very cheap. I got the half torso which you would hang on your store walls. I got the full torso that I use to take the pictures of my shirts or stand up at a display in your store and I also go styrofoam heads to display my caps. I can't remember the exact price but I no it was very cheap.

We got our mannequins torsos with stands at plastic
We tried less expensive flexible T stand display fixtures which worked for displays at conventions and traveling but the shirt didn't photograph well for the web site.

I came across a company's website last year that was selling inflatable full & half mannequins.
I'll have to try & find the name again & post it here if I find it. it may have been on ebay though.

Kevin, I bought some cheap plastic half-forms here...

Mannequins And Forms

I use them all the time for taking pictures of actual shirts. They come in handy and they are very inexpensive...

My partner bought a full sized mannequin on eBay a few years ago. There's a lot of demand so it can take some patience, but if you watch and wait you'll probably find a good deal there.

I remember a shop selling off about four full figures that went for a pittance, but the pickup was in another state. Bargains definitely come up.

I bought mine at a store here in Houston that sells used fixtures and displays that they get from retail stores that have closed or upgraded their display equipment.
Do a search for store fixtures and you may find one in your area.

Another idea: I went to the resale shops in my town and asked if they have extra torsos to sell - got quite a few. Also went to a big antique fair last year, and found cute kids mannequins.

Red face re: where to buy Mannequins??

I bought some used department store mannequins off ebay and the Guess mannequin has a big set of pokies! I have to use a padded bra on her just to make her decent but even still she provokes a lot of conversation.

I am looking for one of these things but not sure which way is better. Hanging, stand , table top , etc.

What I really want to do is get one that I can put the shirt on (right now do mostly team shirts for sports - adult) and stick the transfers to it to make sure they are gonna be in the right spot and for front chest placements as those give me fits.

And later on take pics of shirts hanging on them.

I guess one that is XL would be best for me cuz thats the size I sell most of.

What works best for this application and what dimensions or measurements should I be looking for ?

Thanks
Mark

I have a dressmaker form that I use. I can increase and decrease the dimensions as needed to fit the different sizes.
