I am doing an order for a school spirit sale and an order for some athletic teams for the school. They all want their individual name on the back of the hoodies or t-shirts. The problem I have is if I order the logo for the front from First Edition, the only way to do the back is to order letters and put them together, which seems like a pain. I can order Express names from Transfer Express and do a name on the back for $1.50, but I am not assured the color will match the logo. Any suggestions? When I do them at my house with my printer, you can see the transfer paper in between the names. I should have a big order coming soon and want to be prepared to do it. Thanks for all of your help. This forum is awesome and has been extremely helpful so far.

Why not do a gang sheet of transfers with the school logo and the names down one side of the sheet or just the names on their own gang sheet.
Well I thought of that, but I was told that if I gang these names onto a sheet, you have to order a minimum of 5. I only need one name of each student who orders a hoodie. (am I making sense?) I am completely new to this and things are happening fast for me (which is good, but a little overwhelming), so help me if I am not getting this. Thanks for your quick response!
You should look into Dowling Graphics I believe they would let you gang as many different names on to one sheet as you can fit as long as they are the same color.
You might want to post a service request on the forums here, as there are quite a few people with vinyl cutters on the forum. Commercial plotters range in price, from about $1000-up

It's not a matter of being able to gang them together -- it's a matter of only needing ONE of each name. Plastisol won't cut it.
This is where vinyl transfers shine. If you're going to be doing a lot of this, you should probably look at getting a vinyl cutter for yourself, but there are several people that have them that you could probably work out a deal with either locally or online.
You may not be able to match the color exactly with vinyl, but how important is this? I imagine 98% of the people wearing the products won't even notice if the color is slightly off or won't care much if they do; if color matching does happen to be important, though, you might want to get the vinyl first then match the plastisol order to fit the vinyl color?
Another option that I forgot is that first-edition.com sells plasticol letter and number sheet transfers. You have to cut out the letters, and lay them down on the shirt and then press them. Its kind of hard to align the letters though.
check out imprintables.com cut center. you can get names printed in vinyl for you to heat press on and you get as many names as needed. hope this helps

Sorry, but I am new. What is a service request exactly and how do I do it?
I really dont think its the available technology and I think she has solved the problem anyhoo. The time line was the game and all factors could have worked for fullfillment. Good ideas by everyone...thank you all!!!!!

You can post a service request in the TF Classifieds. It is like placing an ad in the classifieds section of a newspaper, except it's just for this forum. Read this page for more info:
If the logo is on the front and the name on the back, I don't think people will care is the color is slightly off. Just make sure you put the name low enough to see when the hood is down. Also, low enough to see a girls name if she has long hair. All this is explained in the idea section on the Transfer Express web site.
