What is the best program use/buy for fonts? Thanks.

The majority of my shirts will be text only. I am looking for a program that will give me a lot of font options to create my own text designs so I can send them to a supplier to make my transfers. I am hoping that if I can at least create my own text designs, that will save money. My goal is to earn money off of my text designs and be able to invest that money into more equipment so I can go it alone. I have a lot to learn and I thought learning text design would be a good starting point. Do you agree?

As far as I understand it, you are looking for a graphics program that comes with a lot of fonts?

Corel X3 comes with around 1,000 fonts. I don't know about Illustrator but I suspect it comes with a whole whack of fonts as well.

If you end up purchasing a program that doesn't have many fonts, you can always buy more individual fonts or font packages from places like Myfonts.com.

Is Corel X3 user friendly for a beginner? Which is more widely used, Corel or Illustrator?
