hey, all!

wow, it seems like it's been a long time since i posted, especially after posting so heavily for a while.

update: I FINALLY HAVE A SHIRT!! YIPPEE!! after going through many changes, i just received two samples of my first design!!! IT IS AWESOME!! our very own designer from the forum, GIL, did the design!! I LOVE IT!! he PMed me after reading my classified ad. wow! gil is da man!!

so i used the M&O shirts--thanks again, rodney! nice quality, definitely soft and not hard and scratchy. (they seem to run large, though.) i ordered from PPS apparel/presentation. since i lost my silk screening arrangement, i had to look for another printer. luckily, PPS does printing, too, so i did a one-stop-shop. they did a great job! the shirt looks exactly like the design!

i ordered two samples so i could make sure the placement was right. also, i wanted to see if i needed one flash or two. it turns out that one is fine.

so the next step is to figure out how many of what sizes i want. i'm doing a very small run right now because of financial considerations (25-30 shirts). i wasn't going to do a medium shirt since this is a man's shirt, but, since they run large, i think i will do medium. then i'll see what the response is to the shirts in the stores in michigan. i don't know when i'll have the shirts available to a wider audience, but i feel a sense of accomplishment just getting this far! whew!

i showed it to one of my friends last night and he loved it! he can't wait to get his. unfortunately i don't have any photos yet, so i can't post photos.

btw, my SS shop had it's official launch last sunday! LOL!! well, i didn't have a party or anything. i guess it was official in my mind only. these shirts are for a VERY, VERY specific market and probably won't mean anything to anyone on the forum. but i had fun doing this shop. (well, it is a lot of work.) now i'm just waiting for some folks to buy. i actually signed up for google adwords this morning. so now i just have to wait and think of some more marketing strategies.

since i teach music to little kids, i'm now starting on my line for kids. so many slogans, so few investors. LOL!
