is it possible just to get a vendor licensce for just one day?

You need to list your location...and just what do you mean 'vendor license'...do you mean sales permit from the local/state government, or a permit to do business within a certain city/area or do you mean a permit to be a vendor at a sponsored event..

I am in CA and I have never heard of any one day permit from any gov't agency except for special events like parades, car shows etc. and that was just to be there...you still needed a business license and sales tax permit

im in DC and just want to sell shirts for one day..just wanted to know if i could just get a permit for one so the cops dont shut me down

if you're going to be selling at a craft show, i think they usually include the one-day sales/vendor permit in the vendor entry fee...

Let me guess, Inauguration?

Your best bet is to contact the City (D.C.) and ask. I am sure you won't be the first one.

If it's DC and for inauguration just saw on tv they are picking vendors by lottery so better contact DC quickly to find out if that's your plans.
