Just Wondering...? Hi everyone, I have a few questions so I making this post in the general forum. I have recently taken up art history as a hobby, and though it has been a long road that I am still not quite done traveling on, upon my graduation from college this May my business will be getting off the ground and as a result I have been kicking around a lot of new conceptual ideas which have result in a few new questions as is typically the way when you come up with answers… 1. Has anyone had any experience using Jacquard’s tee juice markers? Are they worth the trouble, or merely for hobbyist? I like the flexibility of using something less stationary with more fluidity. 2. Does anyone know if it is possible to fold a tee into a star or other cool shapes? If so, are there books available on the technique(s)? If not, can anyone tell me when I can get heavy duty shipping boxes shaped like stars and colored? I ask because I am looking for unique ship packaging methods. 3. Has anyone had any experience with the process of getting their apparel in the hands of celebrity stylist (clothing not hair and makeup) or personal shoppers? Is there any particular process or channels a person needs to go through? 4. Does anyone know what firms did the actually website designing for the big guys like Christian Audigier and Johnny Cupcakes or were they more likely to be done by the company doing their overall marketing. 5. Has anyone had any success with doing “signature” or limited edition runs on a design(s)? Is it possible to subscribe to a licensing company in order to use copyrighted images or would I have to have a specialty drafted contract brokered by the company. Clothing brands like Lot 29 and Iceberg History appear to use Warner Brother’s characters in their designs exclusively. If it is possible would it be expensive and difficult to obtain? I would appreciate any inputs anyone can offer, Thanks! |
