You need to look around your city for Weekend bazaars.. flea markets.. hit the stores and offer trunks sales.. Do what I am doing.. I am having a Xmas garage bazaar. I am putting signs on the streets and on Halloween i am putting a small flyer in every kids bag.. hey if they are in my neighborhood then they live close.. I went to impulse wear and bought something for everyone. Lots of kids and toddler.. a few fisherman.. lot of lady flowery craft.. No I am going to do the shirts and see if they sell. There is someplace somewhere I will sell them. My wife knitted some scarves.
We used to do holiday candy suckers. The cost for candy, stick, wrapper, twisty came to 5c per sucker and we sold them for $1 to $1.50. I can't remember why we stopped.
No kidding. We were selling about 300 per week just to people we knew. The best part is almost every month has some kind of holiday. I think we will add this back into our lineup.
There is a sucker made every minute.. Love to see what they look like.. I have a rep back east might be interested. I think he sells those kind you see on a pole in the stores.
I've been selling Christmas presents to Grandmas since July!!!!!! I've done several fairs, craft shows, etc. this summer and always take my machine with me so I don't have very many shirts made up that might not sell.
If you can take your machine with you and have electricity at the show I have found that I sell more shirts that way cause they can decide how they want the transfer. I sell some that come as a 2 piece with the main design and a pocket. All stock transfers. I put them on however they want, big design front or back, little front or back or on sleeve. Customer feels they are getting something unique with their own style added. Customer happy, ME HAPPY!!!!
In the Southern part of MO. where I live I sell alot of Christian, Car/Motorcyle, farm, firefighter, and Redneck type transfers. You just gotta figure out what will sell in your neck of the woods and go for it.
Just did an Autumnfest festival last Sat. Sold almost $300 gross of shirts and the best part is several asked about having some made for their groups! And there might have been 500-600 people at the festival so I thought I'd done well for this part of the country. And several was for.......CHRISTMAS!!!!
Have a good one!
