Default I got a question about submitting designs

who has experience submitting t-shirt designs to companies so they can mass produce them and you recieve royalties or a percentages of the sales or is it better that I print up my own shirts and sell them to stores and on the net?

both take a lot of work , the second just takes more and carries more risk. Yet it also carries more reward. a lot of online dealers do not want to carry a no brand no name product. You might want to try and build a rep by submitting designs and then try printing your own stuff.

the company I work for pays royalties for tees, usually $1 per shirt sold, or $2 if it's a really good seller. my boss pays out about twice a year I think. it can be profitable but it could also fall flat on it's butt. you could always produce your own tees, make up a wholesale brochure and send them to companies to see if they bite, but that could backfire and you'd wind up with a lot of stock you can't sell

Couldn't you just do the brochure first to see if there is an interest and if there is and they place an order then make the shirts? Also, are there websites out there that you can submit your design to and people rate them to give you a feedback on how well it could sell?

In the meantime, you could submit your designs to sites like TeeFury T shirts - One new limited edition cool shirts every day!..

They not only pay you a royalty, but you are also free to use the design with whomever else you want. That is rare in the design/contest arena.
