I need some help. I want to go to a couple teams and see if they will let me use there logos and names on some products. I am not really sure on how to do this. I know I should email or call them but has anyone done this and/or do they have any advise.

I was planing on offering them a percentage of the profit, some free stock for the team to wear and there products for wholesale value to sell in there store if they have one. I don't know if they will think that is fair. I will be doing the design, producing and sell the product. They wont have to do anything but ok the design and sit back.

Do you guys think that is fair for the team?

Is there anything I should add or subtract from the what I am offering the team?

What percentage do you think is fair for the teams and me? I was thinking 10-15%.

This depends completely on what level the team is.

If it is a community or HS team, you should have no problem doing this.

If it is a college or professional team, there are already marketplaces, licensing, and specific procedures setup for doing this. All college teams are licensed under the CLC, as far as professional teams each sport has it's own licensing organization. All rules must be followed by these companies as you could be liable for trademark infringement if you misuse their guidelines.

I should have said. They are pro paintball teams. So there is no real licensing agency. It is pretty much the teams owner/captains.

Then what you proposed should work.
