ok as you may know, im trying to start my own t-shirt line but keep running into some walls!

right now, i just cant seem to decide which style i want to take.

i made a topic yesterday about whether or not i should have my fighting brand appeal to the "affliction" crowd and look similar to those shirts, or if i should be original.

now im thinking that maybe i should scrap the whole fighting idea in general!!!

you see, it was here where i learned that it is best to target your brand to a particular group of people. since fighting is my biggest passion in life, i decided to combine both of my passions and make a fighting brand!...but prior to learning that, i originally had an idea for a regular brand with random messages and symbols on it...

the decision here is a tough one. should i:

1- stick to the fighting brand since it appeals to a particular group of people. the downside is that i dont have many design ideas, and not only that but the affliction style shirts seem to be dominating that market

or

2 - go back to my original idea where i have a boatload of very clever designs. the downside HERE is that these designs do NOT target a specific crowd, so people might feel confused about them and not buy them

i dont know which style to pick?! combining the 2 was my next option but i dont know how thats possible.

please help ! i appreciate it

I say go indie. Don't limit yourself.

Yes. I believe you would have more success as an indie company and doing what you actually want. When you think of an awesome idea, but then remind yourself, ah damn, I'm strictly this strictly that.

well the thing is this.

im not only considering targetting towards a particular audience for the sales. i also happen to be very passionate about the audience im targetting to (fighting). so im very passionate about both choices actually, so it makes it a bit more complicated

Just think about it for awhile. Which do you think you would enjoy more and make a better profit off of.
