...because it used to be you're just the fan/buyer/customer of t-shirt....
but now, you print them yourself...you produce them and customers are coming to you.
I love printing t-shirts, but my favorite thing to print are the little preemie onesie, and seeing them go on a tiny 3 pound baby That is the reward I like best.

I got into this industry backwards. Was looking for a new career ... been in 'dogs' forever. Saw an ad to be an authorized dealer for dog designs. Called to see what it was.
The rest is history. Hadn't ever considered t-shirts as business I'd be in, but here I am, six years later. No longer limited to 'dogs' ~~ I have a skill set and background that makes it possible for me to 'create my own income.'
I love it most days. It's technical, creative, fulfilling, PROFITABLE, and manual. I have my own shop where I call the shots, work alone, make all the decisions, and listen to music that I like all day.
Also it's great to be able to make whatever shirt I want. This week towards the end of the work day Thursday my friend wanted a THERE WILL BE BLOOD shirt because he loves that movie, and I do too, so I whipped up a couple. Later that night friends were like You made that? Nuh uh! wow!
Being your own boss and having a successful business is the American Dream in action.
Yes yes yes, the wonderful world of creativity making people smile, think, reminisce of days gone by, self expression, it is all apart of why I do it. And the money is good. When people say I like that shirt I may have just made a new "friend" interpreted client so for me it is very rewarding I make my own hours and can actually see where my money is going "TO ME" I love putting a smile on others faces and having people say yes to my shirts.
I have developed such a passion for this new line of t-shirts/products that I can barely sleep at night, keepa writing tablet in the car and every chance I get work on my designs, marketing challenges, etc.. It's contaigeous(?sp), even my wife is getting into the design phase. I can't thank Rodney at Circle enough for all his help and understanding for a newbie like me. I'm 67 and I'VE FOUND A NEW LOVE AND CAREER! Frankly, money is secondary in my thinking right now. Thank you all for participating in this great forum. I can't wait to see my first 5 designs on shirts in a few weeks. T/w you all later, Aloha and Mahalo,
I personally hate printing lol. But, its rewarding when people actually like my shirts enough to buy and wear them. Also its great to be able to print whatever the heck I want. I'm a graphic artist at a screen printing shop and do my own stuff on the side in my garage. Overall I have to say its a love hate sort of thing.
I love the fact that I can make shirts that make people laugh or provide someones business with something. I got into this business about 2-3 years ago and have just been lazy as far as promotions go. I have people ask me at random so ALL of my business is word of mouth. I get upset with myself because I have such a valuable skill to make lots of money yet I get up every day and go to a crappy job that does not pay well at all. I recently moved across the country to get out of a rut I was in back home. Im 28 and need to start taking life more seriously so I am starting to get on the ball. This is such an amazing industry!
I started in the business for a totally different reason than anyone. I had went to a log home show and saw press a print and wanted to print anti postal shirts: so I bought the system and started doing that and now do screen printing, sublimation, dtg, pad printing, gx 24 and versacamm, so I LOVE printing. I am so glad I went to that show
I love setting my own hours and getting to be creative. It is the best.
And this forums is the greatest I was so glad to find this place a couple years ago and Rodney does a great job.
Thanks to everyone for sharing ideas and general chit chat
You guys are right, this isn't just about profit all the time. The people we meet or speak to every day help us as people and our business. Perfect example is now on these forums and this is why I LOVE T-SHIRT PRINTING
