Need elemetary advice about starting t-shirt biz in L.A.
I doodle line drawings that are very small (literally the size of the nail of my thumb). They look kinda like Picasso / Matisse faces.
I want to enlarge them and print them in a light blue ink on a black t-shirt. I want the design to have a hair-thin outline (tight registration) of white, to pop the design off the shirt.
What is the best process? Where should I go in the L.A. area for the best price / quality? Since I'm just getting started, I would like too get my feet wet with a fairly small quanity (under 100).
What are the best t-shirts to use (quality / price). I really like American Apparel shirts. Are they too expensive? What is their wholesale bulk price? What is the minimum order. If he minimum order is 100 could they be a mix of several sizes?
Any other advice about the game would be greatly appreiciated.

What is "too expensive" to you?
We can't share their wholesale pricing here because they do not post that information on their public website.
You can order American Apparel t-shirts from tscapparel.com without the same minimums as you would if you bought direct from AA.
But it sounds like you'll be outsourcing your printing, so you won't have to worry about sourcing your blanks or buying the blanks wholesale. The screen printer will probably do that for you.
