Default Should I try to sell my designs or continue with my own store????

i started a store with about 50+ original designs in it and don't know how to even begin to get traffic to it, let alone get someone to purchase a t-shirt. are there opportunities to for people to sell or license artwork, or should I just persevere and hope for the best?

thanks for any feed back!

You have some god stuff, but I think cafe press lends itself to the niche market a lot better. I would work on your graphics a bit and submit them to contests.

I like some of your designs and I see most of them have a semi-dark concept to them that works well in darker shirt patterns. I would like to see more concentration\work on some of the desirable designs.

Yes, perserverse on your own. You need to prove that this can be done. I didn't think marketing would be an issue. If you don't mind letting me know how you were getting your work out there for people to see or know about?

I did some research and see that you are not tagging your designs to take advantage of the CafePress Marketplace.

For instance your robot hand design (I like that one alot) I type in the marketplace "robot hand" which produces only 2 pages of results and your design is not there. That can only happen if you are not carefully tagging your images, the Marketplace uses those tags for its search.

You also only offer your designs on a few items, I have learned that what you might think is cool does not mean that someone else won't want your item on a mug or a mousepad. You need to add your items to ALL products, work on your tagging as well as your copy within the store itself.

You haven't given CP a chance yet in my opinion. There are plenty of threads here and on the CP forums that will give very specific action items for you to take to make the most of what you have started.

Good luck! Your designs are unique and will appeal to lots of folks
