Looks very good, Rodney. I like the orange text as well.
Just punctuate Robert's name like this: Robert Wilson, Jr.
and you're done.
Thanks for the future ladies sizes. At the store, I often have to try both M and L on. If I can see those sizes, I'll be able to measure a shirt I have here, and order a similar sized tee. Thanks.

Hi Brian,
Nice job on the tag... for Robert's name you already have the comma, you only need add the period after Jr.
To me, Robert's "real" name on the tag looks a little small. What do you think about all the text in the bottom section being the same size, or at least Robert Wilson, Jr. being the same size as "Entered by"?
Do you think Entered by works as well as Designed By: ?

I love the orange. I really like the hang tag too. The pic of Robert can double as a Bullseye for a dart board. LOL ..... JB

Here's the sizing chart for the ladies styles. Please try to get your orders in by Monday so we can send the final counts to the factory.
Re: custom t-shirt manufacturing and design from start to finish [2008 TSF Extravaganza]
Hi everyone,
As promised, we are attempting to document this whole process for the t-shirt community by taking pictures of each process. I am going to first post a couple general pictures of the processes that are completed.
Knitting: Each fabric is knitted per order. When possible we offer over runs of common fabrics to lower prices for our smaller customers. If you ever wonder about how overall prices are calculated in custom manufacturing, it's all about the fabric!! There are production costs that occur no matter how much fabric is produced, so when we produce more, it reduces overall costs.
This is a knitting machine
Fabric is also dyed per order. Paired with custom knitting, the possibilities are pretty endless! We use Pantone TP codes for dyeing so picking out a color may be the hardest decision!
This is a dyeing machine:
Next is the peachinge process (sueded fabric) that Rodney had wanted for the fabric. It is basically a machine that rubs the fabric to give the fabric the sueded feel.
As soon as we receive the final count for t-shirt sizes, we will start the cutting process and I will add another update when finished.

So these shirts are going to have sueded feel?

Sounds so nice... thanks, Rodney, for picking that process. Thanks for the info, Kris, and thanks for sending in such a cool design for us to wear, Promz. I'm really excited about getting this shirt.
Re: custom t-shirt manufacturing and design from start to finish [2008 TSF Extravaganza]
Not sure if it's to late to chime in about the hangtag, but from a gfx designer stand point you may want to consider adding some of the colors from the front into the back, it's just going to clash when juxaposed together. Unless you take the blue in the back part and change it so it's the exact opposite of the orange in the front (since they are complementary colors and all).
And the front tag looks really cool, but what if it was on it's side like business card style with the original design bleeding on the sides on the left and then the quote on the right side? wasn't sure, i like bleeding on the ends of a piece for that whole "oh it extends forever" illusion. Sorry not saying what was already going wasn't good cuz it was awesome, just thought i'd drop 2 cents down.
Re: custom t-shirt manufacturing and design from start to finish [2008 TSF Extravaganza]
Hi everyone,
Here's another update on the shirts:
The bulk fabric has been prepared and patterns were made off of Rodney's shirt.
Here is a pic of pattern making with a CAD machine:
The patterns are then cut with a band knife in bulk. Sometimes cutting is done manually for small orders or to give more details to cuts.
The fabric is marked and cut:
The screen has already been prepared and we will do a strike off of the print to make sure the print quality is ok before we proceed. I will update again with that in a couple days.
