Only been here a few months so I'm also watching with interest and learning. Just wished I had been more talkative before June 2. Do fence posts count?

Question Re: custom t-shirt manufacturing and design from start to finish [2008 TSF Extravaganza]

Ok, keep in mind that I'm not a graphic designer

Here's the first proof of the proposed hangtag layout. 3" wide by 4" high with a beautiful blurb by Robert.

BeautifulBlurb, sounds like the next british rock band to take over the world.

Any suggestions? Anybody have time to come up with something better?

I also think it would look better if the text was underneath the tree rather than on top.

Thanks Jasonda!

Good call, it does look better with the text at the bottom.

How about this:

Update:

Fabric style confirmed. We will begin preparing. I have asked my production line to take pictures (even though it is a busy time) and to try and hold off until they can get some shots.

A note: regular lead times are when all specs are confirmed. We still need measurements confirmed for shirt cuts (which Rodney may send me a shirt he likes to follow pattern). So, the way we are doing this order is a little unusual (starting each step as we confirm and taking pics). But I think this will give everyone a very good idea on how to handle manufacturers as we reveal each step!

Rodney: I like the hangtag! Don't forget we can do something on the back too (maybe some room for the t-shirt forums logo and url?)

For the labels and tags: what if we do a tagless inside label print and then the t-shirt forums woven label on the outside bottom hem?

Good move, it looks better with the text at the bottom. I think that is what they call synergy!

I also agree the BeautifulBlurb looks really nice at the bottom. I'm a stickler for puncuation (when it counts, lol). Will there be a period at the end of that sentence? Feels like it needs one since it starts with a capital letter.

Also, and of course this is just another suggestion... (I'm not a big fan of "white" - you can't find a white wall in my house)..... since there isn't any white at all in the design, do you think it would be worth checking out the text in one of the colors from the design - like maybe the color of the bird? Just to see? White may look best in the end, but I couldn't help but wonder...

Annndd, I'm going to be offline for a few days - doing some running around - summer things, but I def want to place an order for my size. Will the link for the pre-order be in this thread, or in a new thread? I don't want to miss it... Thanks so much!! Kelly

This is a great idea. Can't wait to learn this process.

Great hangtag to Robert.

This is very professional and everyone should feel proud to be a part of this project.

Keep up the great work.

Wow, awesome thread! It's great to see the process of custom-manufacturing from start to finish. Can't wait to see some pictures, Kris!

I think everyone can learn something about customer service by paying attention to Kris' attention to detail.

Did anyone come up with something for the back of the hangtag?

Hellooo... got the PM, thank you!!! I don't know which size to order. Is there a way to find the measurements in inches for a medium and large size ladies cut tee? I never know which I'll be, depends on the shirt... Thanks so much, Kelly

The ladies measurements haven't been decided on yet. I can say that it won't be a "slim fitting" tee.

I'll see if we can narrow down the specs on the ladies sizes soon.
