I got about 20 different sample shirts and i know i am going with a hanes or a gildan but my only concern is with the white shirts, the colors are fine, but the white shirts to me just seem like glorified undershirts. They seem a little see through around the sleeves and i feel like if i sell the product people are gonna feel like its an undershirt with a design on it. lol
so can you guys just tell me if i am just over analzying the white tees? or is that a legitimate concern with a 2 dollar white t shirt? what do you recommend i do?
Hanes Beefy or other 6oz shirts are definately more like a shirt, but now that summer is here a lot of people don't mind the lighter weight. If it is just a small left chest logo then yes it is a little on the cheese side, but a good size graphic or front and back design is fine. I do a lot of sublimation and white makes up a large percentage of the shirts i produce. The most expensive ones are made by Vapor and are very light and popular.

i am glad you said this cuz those are the tees i thought look thin, so obviously i was over analyzing lol, thanks again!
You have to try wearing a Vapor tee. They are extremely comfortable, silky soft. I wear them all the time. You say they look like underwear, My wife wears them as nightware because they are so comfortable. They are slightly more form fitting compared to Hanes or some of the other companies. That can be a good or a bad thing depending on who your customer is. If you sublimate, they take a lot more care to get a good print. I have to use teflon pillows, oversized tranfer paper and a little less temp. Silkscreen does not have these problems.
While Vapor range is engineered for dye sublimation, it's also suitable for any other decorating methods as well.
I had Vapor Black micro-performance shirts screen printed and they look great. We also had clients embroidering logos on sleeves.
