is this a good price for 60 screen printed gildan t-shirts?
Hello all,
New to the scene. Im having a small 60 shirt test run of a design with various sizes and colors to see how it turns out. My bottom line cost came out $6.99 up to xl and then 8.49 for 2x. They are Gildan Style 2000(Dark Color Shirts with white ink). This ncluded single color full front deisgn and back design which was just a logo stamp at about 6 x 3 inches on the top. There was no screen setup fees. I think these are decent prices but I dont have the experience to answer that. Does this sound fair to everyone else?

are you asking if that is a good retail price or print price? if that is your cost ... wow! your shirts should run just under $3.00 each s-xl and just under $4.00 xxl and up. Ink should be around .10 or less per shirt. thats my .02.

The printer needs to make a profit too, dont ya think?

i would ask them for screen printing costs if you supplied the shirts because i talked to a screen printer that tacked 4 dollars onto the price of the printing just for the shirt, when i can get the same shirt for 2 dollars lol.
also it depends on your area, where i am in jersey we have about 6 or 7 in a small area of a few towns, and 15 or 16 in the county. so pricing here is very competitive and cheap for quality work.

That's a very good price. I am working with someone. He charges 8.00 dollars. For all sizes and different colors. But four bucks, that's a steal. I can imagine what your profit is.

They are offering a fair/good price. For that quantity our prices would be about the same, and for 100 pieces, 1 Color front, 1 Color back on Colored Gildan Tshirts, we would run for $5.15 each out the door, free shipping included.
Another important aspect besides price is the type of relationship you may see in the future with your printer. If you trust your printer to provide great service, great printing, and great overall prices, you should go with your gut feeling. Price is not everything. People who only shop for the best price will later run into trouble and wish they never left. Since you are just starting out, this is the most important time to build a strong relationship with a printer you are comfortable with.
