Welcome to the forum JoJo!

You've got a great adventure ahead of you, with ALOT of things to decide. I recommend getting a sheet of paper and having a big brainstorming session. Every great business has started with a great plan.

Now ask yourself...
  • How will you get new designs made?
  • Will you do it yourself?
  • Use pre-designed artwork?
  • Buy existing transfers?
  • Hiring a graphic designer on elance.com, getafreelancer.com designoutpost.com ?
  • Hire a local graphic designer
  • Where will you source the materials you need?
  • Blank t-shirts?
  • Swing tags?
  • Custom labels?
  • Packaging ?
  • Will you spend money on marketing?
  • Internet marketing? Offline marketing? Trade shows? Business directories?
  • How will you differentiate yourself from your competition?
  • Will you sell Online / Offline?
  • Print in-house, outsource, or use a fulfillment company like CafePress?
  • Have you thought about copyright, trademark, business set up and legal stuff?
  • How will you go out of your way to please your customers?
And that's only part of it! But don't get overwhelmed. The fun part is learning. Good luck with it all! I'm sure this forum will be able to help you every step of the way.

I just joined this forum and there is loads of info.

It won't take long for you to get answers to your questions by bouncing around here.

I ordered my heat press this week and several transfers from ProWorld.com. They seem like a good company. I will let all of you know how it is going moving forward.
