Ok, I bought 2 american apparel shirts, there's a local print shop in my city, well I asked the guy to print my design on the shirts, well he charge me $20 dollars to print both shirts...now is this too much? 1 design was 4 different colors and the other design had 2 colors...Plus all he could do was a 12 inch design, whick looks small on a XL shirt....how much would a print shop usually charge to print a design on a shirt????I'm thiking bout buying shirts in bulk and having local print shops print them...the thing is 10 dollars a shirt to me is pretty expensive... or maybe im wrong? I actually have 200 shirts that are in production at the moment. They are taking off the the tags, printing the design and also polybagging them..the thing is it take to long for me to recieve the order? i was wondering...ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET MY SHIRTS TAGLESS WITH MY LOGO IMPRINTED IN THE INSIDE OF THE SHIRT. PRINT MY DESIGN ON THE SHIRT AND HAVE THEM FOLDED AND POLYBAGGED IN A "FASTER" TIME.....PLEASE HELP...thank you
First, you should feel lucky that someone would screen print just 2 shirts for you.
1 of them 4 colors!? I'm really surprised that it was just $20. Honestly, you got a really good deal!
You say you're thinking of buying shirts in bulk and having them printed, but $10/shirt is expensive.
Yes, $10/shirt is expensive if you're getting them printed in bulk, but volume printing will bring the price down. It won't be $10/shirt if you're getting them printed in larger quantities.
i dont know why i didnt think of that,,, more shirts less the price per shirt.....how can i get shirts back faster, with all i want done???? ANYBODY
Find a different printer that can handle faster turnaround times and the type of printing you want done.
You didn't really mention how long the current turnaround time is that you have with your current printer and how many days you would prefer to have the turnaround be.
We have a referrals section of the forum where you can source printers.
There is now way I would print a four colour shirt for 20$.
Im thinking he may be vinyl cutting, or heat transfering the image.
Or he's REALLY cheep.
As far as turnaround times, YOu can get shirts overnight if you want, its just going to cost a ton.
Be patient, build a relationship with a company, and be loyal to a good solid printer. He will then become more flexible with your deadlines.
I print super short notice for bands/friends/clients and they appreciate it.
