I am wanting to start a shirt brand. I was wondering what do I need to get my "brand" a legit brand like trademarked and all?

Well, first you have to trademark it. Perform a trademark search here

If it's avaliable, you're in luck. If not you may need to change your idea.

BTW, trademarking costs $275 bucks, so make sure you budget that in.
