Smile Just Starting - Great ideas

Hello everybody. After months of speculation and questioning if i would be able to do it or not.. i took the plunge and motivated myself to get into the t-shirt business

I have a few questions if anybody wouldnt mind answering

1- Im looking to do designs that would probably use more then 4 colors (give or take) and am thinking of using the heat press method. My shirts are going to be music inspired and would look like graphic tees that stores like urban outfitters carries. (urban , trendy) Would heat press be my best choice?

2- quality ... i want the type of shirts that kinda of stretch but nothing to crazy (nothing too thick and i want it to be able to stretch a bit)
is American apparel a good company to buy from? or would you recommend any others?

3- what cutter would you recommend as well and since im going to be using a computer to illustrate which printer would you also recommend so i could just print from comp, scan on cutter and then press on shirt ( i heard of the roland gx-24 )

i have some unbelievable ideas for shirts that are out of this world , and just like everybody else am hoping to blow up and hopefully sell to stores in my area and then expand ... thnx for all the help

Almost any t-shirt decoration method done correctly would work for those type of designs. Except maybe inkjet heat transfers.

Search the wholesale t-shirts section of the forum for lots of suggestions and opinions on which garments to use.

Check the vinyl cutter section of the forum for different vinyl cutter recommendations, reviews, opinions, etc: Vinyl Cutters (Plotters) and Transfers - T-Shirt Forums
