I'm getting t-shirts made, they are american apparel tee's and baby doll shirts for the ladies, I'm getting tagless and having them imprint my logo inside the shirt, plus they are going to have my design's on them... Duh...I'm also getting custom hang tag's and having them folded and polybag, hopefully with my logo on the clear bag... Now my question is how much should i charge for a shirt? I dont wanna be too low where i'm not making enough money and i dont wanna be too high to where people think it's too much for a t-shirt. What would be a good price? I was told that if you price them kinda high cause usually people think. well that shirts pricey, i bet not too many people have that. And thats what makes them wanna buy it? is that true? I' mean my shirts are gonna be good quality shirts plus i've been getting alot of good feeback on my design's, my friend told me she would pay $50 for one of my shirts...what are ya'lls opinion??? PLEASE REPLY.... THANK YOU

It depends on 2 things, the quality of your designs and your ability to market them. There are a lot of people that won't spend over $20 for a t-shirt (like myself) and there are people that will spend over $100 for a t-shirt because of the "image" they feel like they're buying due to the marketing and branding that the company has done.

Well there are alot of factors that go in to pricing. Is there a demand for your shirts? I would play it safe and start off at $15 somewhere.
$50 sounds like way too much if you are starting out. I could understand it more if your shirts were all custom cut and sewn. Just my two cents.
If you are trying to build a quality brand, then don't price your shirts at $15. If people see a $15 shirt, they will assume it is cheap... usually you get what you pay for.
Like you said, you are printing good quality shirts. If the art is good and if there is a market for it I don't see why you wouldn't be able to sell your shirts for $20-$30... that isn't even on the high end of t-shirt pricing.
don't undersell yourself because you are a beginner. Establish yourself as somebody who makes a shirt that is worth paying a little extra for...
In my opinion, unless you are selling some awesome 6-10 color shirts or you are a well established brand it might not be in your best interest to start selling that high. I could be wrong. $15 for a shirt is really not all that cheap. Heck, take it up to $20 if you want. You need to be reasonable. Lets face it, not every brand can come out and sell their shirts at ridiculous prices. If you have established your name and your stuff is in seriously high demand, then think about going higher.
I would charge them $20-30 if your design cool and unique, but if your design cheap and normal I would charge people $5-15 I know there's alot of shirt out there are similar !!!!
First, you should calculate the total production cost of one of your shirts:
cost of screening or plastisol transfer, packaging, cc proccessing, shipping, and anything else.
Next, ask yourself how complex your designs are, are they unique, etc. then markup the price of your shirts. I plan to sell mine from $24.99-$26.99 for tshirts.
If you believe your shirts are worth more then $15, then don't start them out at $15 and then raise them later, else you may lose potential buyers that prefer to buy in that range. Thus you should start off at a higher-end price, say around $20+. This all depends ofcourse on how well your designs are. There's countless millions of people that would buy in that price range, you just have to find them.
I would pay $25 give or take a buck or two for a shirt thats good quality and something I want. I wouldnt pay a cent over $30 for any t shirt no matter how buzzed up the company is, thats just me though. But then again I can make my own shirts with things I actually want on them so who knows.
I think it all depends on a lot of factors. I wear a lot of hip hop apparel and those t-shirts are usually from $28-35, where a long sleeve might be $30 tops. So I personally price my tees the way most shirts sell. I mean if I go into a major retail store most shirts run around $20-30. , hoodies, a lil more and etc. So I mean if your total price per shirt is under $10, then anything under $30 will be a huge profit, but anything under a certain amount might say something of your designs. Thats why I like cafepress now until I start printing on my own, because it lets me know what shirts are hot sellers, and what t's I wouldnt even include in my line when I try to get them printed. But I think a t-shirt under $30 is reasonable, ecsepcially with AA shirts.
You could also do the old trick that most companies do, and put a tag on there fo $35 and then have a sale marking off 10$ on all shirts or something to that effect. People always want a deal, thats why coupons get people to buy things at the grocery store that they don't need, cause they think they are getting a deal.
just my .06 cents
