Default Age verification

I am not sure where to post this question so I put it here. Does anyone know if there are any rules about age verification for selling t shirts that use profane language IE: 4 letter words? I am laying the groundwork for my e store and don't want any ugly surprises. Thanks, Kevin

When I was sixteen, my favorite shirt was the "Religions of the World" S**t Happens shirt. I bought that on my own.

I'm not sure if there are any actual laws about this or if it's completely self-regulated in the industry.

I'd be interested in knowing, too.

Thanks Fred, I didn't think it was a problem and I don't recall aver being carded when buying a t with rough language over the net. You just never know with all the moral outrage over some opinions and life styles. I of course believe parents need to be aware of what children are doing anyway.

I can't see how that would be an issue. If they'll let most kids drive at 16 or 17, most kids should be aloud to cuss by then as well. lol

They also allow 17-20 year olds to go fight in a war but not toast a beer with their freinds. Although I heard a congressman is trying to change that.

Krokker, I agree with your manner of thinking on this, and when I read your post, I would think when teens are buying with you on the net, it will most likely be with a credit card, in which case one must be of a certain age to obtain, so you have some assurance there as to their age, or it is through Mom or Dad's credit card or account, in which it is the parents responsibility for permission (should be as you said). I would think your concern would probably be more so for a brick and mortar store with cash toting kids. Due to application requirements or being on M&D's CC, for the most part - any fear should be aleviated. Best wishes.

Not actual cash toting kids around, that would be scary, but what I mean is kids toting cash around.
