Default Copy Right laws
Hi everyone,

My sister who lives in Liverpool, England has a buch of artwork that I would like to obtain from her. I'm trying to convince her to sell me the legal rights to the images with full copy rights. I'd like start a company and produce products depicting her work. I'm living here in Maryland USA. What is involved in setiing up the above mentioned process? Is there a generic copy right form, or do I have to involve a lawyer? Does every State have differenct copy right laws. Someone told me I would also have to go and register each individual image???

U.S. Copyright Office - Copyright Law: Chapter 2

Hopefully you can make heads or tails of that gobblygook, if not you should probably hire a lawyer.

go to legalzoom.com it is supposed to be a great website and once I am set on my name and logo I am using that to trademark it.
