Hey guys,

I got a question regarding the designing process of a tshirt. I mean i'm new to this business but would like to get started in it. I came up with over 10 concepts for the tshirts I would like to design but I am in need to commission a graphic designer to bring my sketches to life through computer graphics..here comes the question.. Once the graphic designer is given a job and is paid for it, will I have to pay him/her for every tshirt being sold as well or once the art work is done and paid for is the end of it? I'm worried I might get in trouble if I sell the tshirts that the designer has designed..(keep in mind, i have already paid for the job)..help..I would greatly appreciate it.

It all depends on what the designer's agreement is. Just be upfront and have everything in writing.

if you paid the artist and you didn't say that he gets a percentage you are ok. you only give a percentage if thats what you and your designer want to do.
