So currently my busines is using a distributor that handles all my shipping and sales. So if I took over that responsibility what do I do if I go on vacation or get ill . How do you handle your stuff in tis situation

LOL yeah, I wanna know too, especially if it's a "one-man-show" kind of company (like online stores etc.) and you go for a 1-week vacation with hot babes in Hawaii, and customers e-mail you with questions and they get no reply etc?
You do a general EMailing notifying them you will be out of service from...X date to X date....and then let them know a cut-off date prior to your closing....just after Xmas is the best time it seems to get away...things are slower then....just give everyone a good heads up and all will work out.

That's one of the BIG benefits of using a fulfillment company. You can keep selling whether you are sick/on vacation/barbequing in the backyard, etc.
When you're doing it all yourself, you basically can't ship out products if you're not there.
You can still stay in contact with customers via email remotely, so by letting them know of the delivery estimates, you can still run the business and keep them informed. You just have a lot of catchup to do when you get back.
