Just wanted to find out what everyone thinks.
Which company has the best fit for womens tee xs to xl.
(this can be any company eg. gap, american apparel etc)
I am using alternative apparel for my initial line. They are junior cuts, and they are cut smaller than your average junior cut shirt. I wear a large in some of their short sleeve ringer tees, and a medium in some of their long sleeve vneck tees.
Even though I am not in my 20's I still like a form fitting tee. And by that I mean cut smaller in the waist and hip area. I do not like having a square bag hanging on me.
last year i spent money on ordering a variety of tees and tank tops to determine fit. I am 5'9" and I have an hourglass figure so here are my testing results from all of those tee tryons -
- Bella I like Bella, they are still a junior cut but a little more FULL around the hip/waist area. their general cotton tshirt is thicker than the alternative apparel brand.
- Gildan - these are just too wide and boxy for me and the junior target market I am going after. below are some measurements on my current gildans activewear small short sleeve crew neck 100% cotton
Gildan Width across from right below the armpits 18 inches and Length 24 inches
for rib tank tops I have the following
- Distric Threads I like their rib tank tops as they are cut longer and still are not boxy.
- Anvil also has a nice rib tank top, good fit not boxy.
I hope this helps. I have not worn the american apparel products. Once I tried on the alternative apparel tshirts I loved the soft cotton and that is what I went with for my long sleeve tees, short sleeve ringer tees and raglan sleeve tshirts. They were also having a sale last year so I stocked up on way way too much product. that was my 1st really poor decision. But that is for another thread!
There are others on this forum who sell mostly to females and have more experience than myself. But I know for my brand I had to look at the cut of the tshirts, the colors available, the feel and the styles.
Alternative apparel does hav XL but i did not see anything over that size.
I am going to check out the Kavio line, I did not know about them.
hi ladies, yeah kavio is hot and their prices are great. try a.s.tees too. i must have picked up 40lbs. of apparel catalogs at the iss show and more coming in the mail. some of the new burn-out stuff should make good sellers. stan
I got a supplement catalog from SanMar that shows various types woman sizes and types of fits. Might do you all a good idea to give them a call and get it.
