Default Anyone Doing Athletic Wear. I Have Some Questions For You

OK guys i was woundering how you have you priceing. i notice some want names some dont.so do you have a break down when you talk to your customer say, like it will be $15 dollars for the jersey and if you want the name it will be another $5 someting like that. basically a break down . i was figureing double for what i pay for the jersey $5 for the front name and logo and $5 for the back number and name one color. Is that to cheap or to expensive according to your standards.

There are a lot of variables there when your talking about a jersey. I offer my clients either teamwork or augusta products at the time. Teamwork is a little more expensive but has more options. Then as far as logo, names, numbers - this all depends on if it's vinyl, screen print, or twill. We offer all three. I price each item out individually based on what the client wants.I have spreadsheets that have my cost for each material laid out per letter, per number and per square inch.

We are getting ready for baseball/softball season and we put packages together of some of the common uniforms and then I price out "options" such as name, number, and logo. You can price the name figuring 7-9 letters and on a full team your going to come out even as some names will be 12 and some will be 4.

Now our plan is to sell the uniforms/jersey cheap and make the money on fan shirts and window stickers, etc. We figure each team needs 12 uniforms - so that usually means at least 24 fan t-shirts and 12 fan stickers and a banner. All of these products have a much higher profit margin than the jerseys. Most of the time by the time mom, dad, player and little sister get a shirt for every player we get nearly 50 shirts per team. To be competive in our market we can only make about 7-8 bucks per uniform. That's only about 90 bucks a team - but the t-shirts, window stickers and banner can give us a profit of over $300.

Soccer Uniforms

Call some places around town and ask for pricing on team uniforms. I had coached little league the past few years so I had a good idea so I didn't have to do much calling.

Pricing all depends on the jersey too - teamwork has some options from good, better and best as far as quality goes. Augusta seems to fall in the "good" range when compared to teamwork. The other key on pricing and quality is the age group. I don't recommend the higher quality jerseys for younger teams since they will outgrow them in a year - but the older teams we do since htey can use them for 2 or three years.
