Cool Gearin' up

Hey all
Ah it's always somewhat awkward coming up with something to start yourself off on with a first post in a new forum... so I'm going to stick with "Hey all."

I've been flirting with the idea of owning and operating a graphic t-shirt and accessories business for quite some time now. I've been doing digital artwork for years and thought this may be a good way to get some of it out there. What I ultimately want to know first off, is a question that's probably been asked a few times... but I can't seem to find the answer... is there a Canadian wholesaler, or dealer I can check out that would actually print my designs professionally on decent-high quality fabric and have the shirts shipped out to me, (talking approximately 50 shirts to begin with) instead of DIY or selling to internet shoppers? I will certainly take advantage of the web's selling power, but would like to do business in reality for a while first... plus, I do a lot of artwork for local bands and such. Being able to produce shirt designs for their fans, and have them shipped out to me so I can sell them at shows would be prime.
Anything like this in existence? Or do I sound like I'm from Phobos?

i get plastisol transfers from a Canadian company, here is there website. Venture Graphics Inc.

they silkscreen onto paper in reverse and you apply them to shirts as you need them, which is really awesome if you are going to events and stuff. they are very good quality and are virtually imposible to tell the difference between theirs and a direct screen printer. i got shirts directly printed when i first started and i wasted a ton of money because i had design that didnt sell or was left with sizes and colors that weren't as popular (like i had a lot of mediums left). now with transfers i just print the design on the color and size that the customer wants, when they want it. i whole heartly recommend this method for new startups who are just trying to break into the market.

Hey this is a wicked idea... thank you so much for that input... however it brings up a few more questions... where would be an ideal place to look for a heat press? And, where can I purchase a load of blank t-shirts wholesale?
Thanks again Darryld
