Default At Home shipping software - what kind to get?

hey everyone, as of late my post office has been letting me know more about at-home shipping services and some of the software available. I figured alot of people here are probably smarter then the people at the place I ship my stuff at though. She did make it sound like certain software can only ship certain types of mailing (Priority, First class, etc.. )

I was wondering - What do you guys use, and what program do you rank the highest? I just bought a scale and I sell some things on ebay and use Paypal for just about everything, excluding a few checks i get weekly. I want a program that is cheap, easy to use, and prints all of these things with ease and still gives me the edge I want which is making my packages look like someone other then a 3rd grade student grabbed a pen and copied the number (Horrible handwriting) So, what do you guys think? Sorry if this was a thread before, I searched and found other stuff about cheap ebay supplies (now my favorite ebay store, thanks )

derek

I currently use ShipStream by PitneyBowes... it is their low end software application and it lets you print out exact USPS postage onto avery labels for about $20 a month.... not a bad deal and has none of the rental obligations with higher end PB options.

That said, I have been looking more into the Dymo Labelwriter and may pick one up soon. It has the same capabilities from what I can find, but with no monthly charge. The negative is the label printer is around $300 but after several months at $20 for PB, it would end up paying for itself.

If you ship everything Priority mail, you can just go to the USPS.com site and print postage, but if you are shipping little one off and other small orders that you want to send first class they don't offer that there. And with the minimum postage for Priority at $4 sending a t-shirt first class for between $1.50 - 2.50 is a large percentage difference when you move a number of small orders.

Good luck.
