Default Your own brand & control of it

I own my own brand.
In a niche market, with good potential for wholesale sales.
I am a control freak !! And don't like the idea of some naff site selling my brand, so was just planning to sell my tees direct to the public only.

Which is best , 100% retail or part retail part wholesale???

As a big fan of Johnny cupcakes i might have found the answer to my question myself !

I think there's a good middle ground - just be selective about who you sell to.

I agree. You should never put your products into every store that comes knocking, ala Wal-Mart, but you do want your line to bee seen. If at all possible, try to interweave the stores that you allow your merchandise into with the type of market you are targeting in the first place. That will likely lead to a stronger impact on your line, as opposed to just throwing it out there every which direction.
